Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo’s wedding plans can, allegedly, be halted because of the chef’s mom, Lourdes.

According to Woman’s Day, Lourdes doesn’t like Holmes for her son.

“While the pair are happier than ever, Emilio’s mother Lourdes is said to be less than impressed with their hasty relationship and the fact that her son left his fiancée Rachel Emmons for Katie,” the tabloid said.

Lourdes was, allegedly, also enraged when she found out that Vitolo called it quits with Emmons via text just so he could be with Holmes.

“Lourdes thinks she bought him up better than that. She didn’t think she handled this well at all,” the source said.

But despite Lourdes’ alleged objections, Holmes and Vitolo are, allegedly, planning their upcoming wedding. And they only want a few guests there.

“They’re both so ready and would do it tomorrow if they could. Marrying in a Catholic church would be the most fitting final middle finger from Katie to Tom Cruise before she closes that chapter of her life. Emilio makes her feel amazing, so different from what Tom ever did. She can’t wait to marry him. She can’t get enough of him, and she’s never felt this way before. She doesn’t want a celebrity wedding, in fact, she’d be OK if it was just Emilio, her, a priest, Suri, and a couple of friends and family,” the source said.

The wedding that Holmes and Vitolo are planning will, allegedly, be very different from the actress’s wedding to Cruise.

“It’s a stark contrast to her marriage with Tom in 2006 – a luxurious affair in an Italian castle, which was studded with high-profile Scientologists and its leader David Miscavige was best man. To this day, Katie regrets that wedding,” the source said.

But the Dawson’s Creek star feels the exact opposite for her chef boyfriend.

“She is head over heels for Emilio – they have barely been apart for a few hours since they got together,” the source said.

However, there is no need to take the tabloid’s claims as though it’s 100 percent accurate. After all, it’s not. Holmes and Vitolo just started dating a few months ago, so it’s unlikely for them to already be planning their wedding.

No one also knows for sure what Vitolo’s mom really thinks of Holmes.
