Prince William Plans To Extend An Olive Branch To Prince Harry Because He Feels Obliged To Do So?
Prince William allegedly plans to extend an olive branch to Prince Harry while he’s in the United States because he feels obliged to.
According to Woman’s Day, Prince William wants to use his trip to the US as an opportunity to see Prince Harry face-to-face. However, he can’t also help but worry about their conversation going public because he doesn’t trust his brother completely.
“William would love nothing more than to sail into America with his new wife on his arm, have a good time, and sail out. But he knows it’s his job to keep the peace and try to make things work while he’s on Harry and Meghan’s turf. He feels obliged to work hard for a meeting since he’s in the same country,” the source said.
The source added that the situation is especially hard for Prince William because meeting Prince Harry is a huge risk. But not extending an olive branch will also open him up to more criticism.
“Truthfully, it’s a tough situation, one William is dreading as he fully anticipates if they do meet up, a twisted version of their reunion will make its way out to Sussex-approved outlets. He knows he has to be careful what he says to Harry because he fears Harry will use it against him,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Prince William has plans to extend an olive branch to Prince Harry. And even if he does, there’s no indication that Prince Harry would accept the invitation.
After all, the Duke of Sussex is known for turning down invitations from the royal family. He refused to go to Sandringham last summer to be with Queen Elizabeth. And he and Meghan Markle won’t also celebrate Christmas with the royal family this year even if they get an invitation.
It is also important to note that Prince Harry and Markle will also have a packed schedule while the Prince and Princess of Wales are in the United States. After all, they will be receiving a prestigious award around the same time that the royal couple is there.
So, for now, there’s really no proof that Prince William and Prince Harry have plans to meet up anytime soon.
