Kate Middleton is allegedly open to meeting Meghan Markle in the United States but on one condition.

In its Nov. 2 issue, Heat UK claimed that Middleton doesn’t want to waste her time and have a chat with Markle if all that she will take about are her awards.

“Kate is open to some type of meeting – schedule permitting, of course – but not if she’s got to sit there listening to Meghan gush over this award and see her strutting around like some kind of peacock, which seems almost certain given the vibes they’ve been getting,” the source said.

The source said that Prince Harry and Markle couldn’t be happier to know that they will be given a prestigious award while Prince William and Middleton are in the United States.

Even though the timing is purely coincidental, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex allegedly see it as a big win over the Prince and Princess of Wales.

“This is a huge coup for Meghan and Harry as they’re on the same bill as some extremely distinguished guests and fellow honorees. To them, it’s validation that they are recognized and taken seriously at the highest level,” the source said.

The source also claimed that the Suits alum is also celebrating the fact that she and Prince Harry are still able to grab headlines. After all, the thought of having Prince William and Middleton on their turf has been causing her so much stress.

“What Meghan loves most about this is that they’re finally competing with Kate and William on a level footing, not playing second fiddle as they’ve always had to in the UK. She’s going to strut her stuff, empowered and confident that the American people have taken her and Harry to their hearts,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s really no competition between the Sussexes and the Wales. The couples are doing very different things.

There’s also no proof that Markle stressed over Prince William and Middleton’s visit or that she wants to boast about the award that she and Prince Harry will receive in December.

All these made-up claims were concocted to pit Markle and Middleton against each other. But it is important to remember that they are baseless.
