Prince William, Prince Harry Desperately Tried To Set Their Differences Aside For 40 Minutes For Queen Elizabeth’s Sake
Prince William and Prince Harry are doing everything that they can to ensure that they will honor their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.
In its Sept. 26 issue, New Idea claimed that there are still tensions between Prince William and Prince Harry. But the brothers tried their best to set their differences aside for their grandmother.
During their first outing with Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle last weekend, Prince William and Prince Harry were spotted chatting with each other. Royal fans were surprised and thrilled with what they saw because they didn’t expect that the brothers would reunite.
However, a source for the magazine also insists that only time will tell if Prince William and Prince Harry will be able to maintain their pleasant and amicable relationship with each other.
“The problem is that they have barely spoken for two years and there is both anger and grief about it all on both sides. No one will ever forget that Meghan basically threatened the family while the queen’s health was failing,” the source said.
Some Prince William and Middleton loyalists have also been insisting that the couple shouldn’t have had to share their first outing to greet mourners together with Prince Harry and Markle.
“But in a nod to his new higher ranking and responsibilities and out of respect for his father, he managed to rise above his distrust in Harry and Meghan. It says a lot that he drove them to and from the walkabout. At the end of the day, both brothers’ love for their granny would have overpowered any negative feelings they had for each other, even if only for an hour,” the source said.
Prince William and Prince Harry reunited once again then they held a vigil for the queen alongside their six cousins. The brothers both wore their military uniforms and they led the group as they stood around the queen’s coffin for 15 minutes.
The brothers will once again reunite at the queen’s funeral, which will be held at exactly 10:44 a.m. on Monday. The queen will be laid to rest beside Prince Philip, her parents, Queen Mother and King George VI, and sister, Princess Margaret inside Windsor Castle.
Queen Elizabeth passed away on Sept. 8 at the age of 96.
