Prince William Knew That The Queen’s Death Meant He Had To Set Aside His Grudges Against Prince Harry, Meghan Markle? Here’s The Truth
Queen Elizabeth’s death gave Prince William and the royal family a whole new perspective.
According to Us Weekly, Prince William decided to reach out to the Sussexes immediately after the queen’s passing because he realized that there was no reason to hold grudges. After all, life is short, and making peace is what the queen would’ve wanted.
“William knew that it was no time to be holding on to grudges or distancing himself from Harry. They all knew they needed to put on a united front and pay their respects, for not only the sake of the queen but also for the monarchy and the people she served. Harry and Meghan were extremely grateful and touched that he extended the olive branch,” the source said.
Body language expert Judi James also analyzed the couples’ interactions while looking at the floral tributes outside Windsor Castle. She said that it was evident that Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Markle were stressed out but they tried to comfort each other.
“They knew the eyes of the world would be on them and that their demeanor would be heavily scrutinized. But they dug deep and tried to calm each other’s nerves while being cordial and respectful toward Kate and William,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that the Waleses and Sussexes realized that everything that happened between them was just a misunderstanding. So, they didn’t want to make a big deal out of it anymore.
Unfortunately, the queen had to die before the couple realized that it was pointless to hold grudges against each other. After all, regardless of their issues and differences they are still a family and have no other choice but to love and respect each other.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle will stay in the United Kingdom until after the queen’s funeral, which is scheduled on Sept. 19. There are also rumors that the couple could extend their stay up until the end of the mourning period so that they can support the royal family.
Prince Harry and Markle are currently staying at Frogmore Cottage. It’s unclear if their children will also travel to the United Kingdom while they are there. But for now, Archi and Lilibet are in the US with their grandmother, Doria Ragland.
