Pete Davidson’s mom was allegedly the one who convinced him to call it quits with Kim Kardashian. And his decision shocked the reality TV star because she didn’t see it coming.

In its Aug. 29 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Davidson’s mom became concerned with her son after noticing how obsessed he was with the reality TV star. But the Saturday Night Live alum allegedly had a brief wake-up call so he decided to consult his mom if what he was doing was right.

“Pete grew disillusioned, so he ran it all by Amy and asked what to do. Amy never liked Kim. She never approved of her or what she did for a living and the same went for Kim’s entire family. Obviously, Amy’s opinion tipped the scales and gave Pete the courage to dump her,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Davidson’s mom saw how her son got caught up under Kardashian’s spell that’s why she became extremely worried. In fact, she decided to meddle early on to prevent the exes from tying the knot.

“She was extremely alarmed he gave up on his SNL career and shuddered at the idea of Kris and the rest of that rotten family being her in-laws. She’s so relieved Pete has finally come to his senses,” the source said.

The source claimed that Kardashian was shocked by Davidson’s decision to end their relationship. After all, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum never thought that Davidson would be the one to break up with her.

Kardashian allegedly always assumed that it would always be the other way around so her ego was wrecked following Davidson’s shocking decision.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Davidson’s mom convinced him to call it quits with Kardashian.

And it’s not also true that Kardashian was hoping to be the one to eventually call it quits with Davidson.

All these rumors are unfounded and just the tabloid’s ways of prying on the exes’ recent split.

But more reputable sources already confirmed that Kardashian and Davidson’s decision to end their nine-month relationship was mutual.

In fact, sources close to the exes also confirmed that Kardashian and Davidson’s split was amicable. And the A-listers are still friends today.
