Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are one of the happiest couples in Hollywood because they just tie the knot. However, the same cannot be said about the actor’s family.

In its Aug. 15 issue, Globe claimed that Lopez’s family adores Affleck so they were thrilled when the A-listers finally wed in Las Vegas.

However, Affleck’s relatives, especially his mom isn’t allegedly a fan of Lopez and didn’t want the couple to tie the knot this soon.

“A number of Ben’s friends, his mom included, worry Jennifer’s too controlling, he’s rushed to the altar and it could all end in tears. Christine Boldt is a tough, highly intelligent lady, who adores Jennifer Garner and was devastated when that ended. They’re still very close so it’s not a big shock that she’s wary of J.Lo,” the source said.

The source added that Affleck’s brother, Casey, as well as his best friend, Matt Damon also have doubts when it comes to Lopez. Both of them are worried that the Hustlers actress is just using Affleck for her benefit.

“He really wants everyone he cares about to love her the way he does but the reaction has been pretty lukewarm. Ben and Jennifer are at the center of the whole Hollywood machine and that’s just not Casey’s thing. He can’t relate and pretty much avoids hanging out with them,” the source said.

According to the source, Affleck’s loved ones are trying to be polite and cordial toward Lopez. But deep inside they just don’t adore the mom of two as much as other people.

“Ben’s mom is polite about Jennifer and cordial, of course, as is his brother and skeptical buddies like Matt. But the shared view is Jennifer’s got a lot of proving to do and it’ll take a lot for her to charm the Afflecks,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. As of late, there’s no proof that Affleck’s side of the family dislikes Lopez. And it’s not also true that his good friend, Damon doesn’t like the A-lister.

It’s unclear why the tabloid concocted this story but it’s possible that they want to make it seem as though Affleck’s family adores his ex-wife, Garner more than Lopez.

But regardless of how they might think and feel, Affleck already made the decision to wed his new wife and no one can do anything about it.
