Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have allegedly been having problems because of their daughters, Malia and Sasha Obama.

In its Aug. 8 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Malia and Sasha have become big spenders in Los Angeles. But what Michelle’s struggling to accept the most is that Sasha inherited her love for luxury items from her father.

A source claimed that even though Barack loves to buy expensive things, he has been working hard for his money all his life. And while he and Michelle were raising their daughters, they tried to show them that living a simple life is so much better than a life of extravagance.

Unfortunately, the source insisted that this isn’t what stuck with Malia and Sasha the minute they left their parents’ home and headed to college.

“Malia and Sasha weren’t born with silver spoons in their mouths, it just evolved as their parents got more powerful. Now, the girls are in L.A. and hanging with a real spendy crowd. They eat at the most expensive restaurants, shop for designer clothes, and drop thousands on spas and beauty salons. Their generous allowances evaporate almost as soon as they get it, and they charge tons on their credit cards,” the source said.

The source also claimed that between the two, Michelle is the one who is stressing more over her daughters’ spending habits. And it’s also upsetting her because Barack doesn’t seem committed to trying to instill certain values in his children.

In fact, the ex-POTUS also has some questionable spending habits himself.

“He’ll drop cash on new suits, custom shirts, cuff links, and shoes. He can’t walk into a clothing store without buying something in every color,” the source said.

Last week, Globe published a similar story about Malia and Sasha’s alleged spending habits. But the tabloid’s take on the rumor was a bit different because Barack and Michelle didn’t blame each other on the matter.

Regardless, both claims aren’t true. There’s no proof that Malia and Sasha have been spending their money and using their credit cards to the point that they are maxing them out.

And it’s not also true that the siblings’ spending habits are causing tension between Barack and Michelle.

It’s obvious that the tabloids just can’t find anything negative to say about the Obamas so they tend to make up stories about their family.
