Kim Kardashian and Kanye West just celebrated six years of marriage, even as the couple was recently subjected to reports that the coronavirus-induced lockdowns had caused arguments to spring up between the two.

People reports that Kardashian was the one to acknowledge their anniversary on her Instagram page, posting two throwback photos and a caption that wished for their marriage to last forever.

Kim’s mother, Kris, acknowledged the anniversary on her own Instagram page, posting photos as well as saying that she loves the couple.

Hello! took the couple’s sixth wedding anniversary as a reason to look back at their 2014 wedding in Florence, Italy. Before the marriage, Kim and Kanye got engaged in October 2013. 

The wedding was an elaborate affair that involved a pre-wedding lunch at Château de Wideville, home of fashion designer Valentino Garavani. The couple also hosted a rehearsal dinner for hundreds of guests at the Palace of Versaille's Hall of Mirrors. Kardashian wore a Givenchy haute couture wedding dress.

While her wedding may have been a fairytale, Kardashian’s married life has had its share of ups and downs. The most recent news to come out about her marriage involves arguments between the 39-year-old Kardashian and the 42-year-old West.

Reports say that the lockdown brought about by the global coronavirus pandemic has resulted in a creative mood for West, which has resulted in Kardashian having to take care of their four children -- 10-month-old Psalm, two-year-old Chicago, four-year-old Saint, and six-year-old North.

However, Kardashian has her own beauty and fashion empire to run, so the added workload without any help from West has resulted in arguments between the couple. However, the couple seems to have worked out a compromise as West took their children to Wyoming to supposedly give Kardashian some free time.

Even before this recent news, there was already news of disagreements between the two just two years into their marriage. Kardashian supposedly was feeling trapped in the marriage back in 2016. However, this was also the same time that West had a very public breakdown and Kardashian instead opted to play the role of a supportive wife to West. 

With Kardashian and West’s marriage looking to be in a good phase, it will make the time the pair will have to spend in isolation much more bearable, as it does not look like the global coronavirus pandemic is slowing down anytime soon.

According to the World Health Organization’s situation report for May 24, there are now 5,204,508 confirmed COVID-19 cases around the world. COVID-19 fatalities are now at 337,687 people.

The May 24 update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states there are now 1,622,114 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States. Deaths caused by COVID-19 now amount to 97,049 people.
