Tom Cruise was allegedly dumped by his Mission: Impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell for the second time in a row.

In its July 4 issue, Globe claimed that Cruise has been unlucky in love ever since his divorce from Katie Holmes.

During the pandemic, the actor was linked to Atwell after they were spotted filming Mission: Impossible in London. But a source claimed that the relationship between the two never progressed into anything more than co-stars.

“What was working behind closed doors didn’t work out so well when it was made public, and the fanfare around them as a couple exploded again. Unfortunately, it hasn’t worked out. They have now decided they are better as friends,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Cruise was rumored to have fallen out with Atwell. Earlier this month, National Enquirer claimed that Cruise was forced to try his luck with Atwell again after he failed to pursue Lady Gaga.

A source claimed that Suri Cruise’s dad didn’t really want to get back with Atwell but he was left with no other choice because being single hasn’t served him well.

The source also claimed that Cruise and Atwell have the support of those close to them, especially the actor’s two adopted children, Connor and Bella.

“Both Connor and Bella thought Hayley was the one for their dad. They adore her and hold out hope he’ll find a way to win her back. They still communicate with her any chance they get, cheering on her career and raving about what a beautiful person she is both inside and out,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Cruise and Atwell never dated each other. They were simply linked because they play the role of love interests in Mission: Impossible.

It’s not also true that Cruise tried to pursue Gaga and failed that’s why he tried his luck with Atwell again.

And since Cruise and Atwell are not dating, the tabloid’s claim that they have Connor and Bella’s support couldn’t possibly be true either.

By the looks of it, Cruise is just being linked to every woman that he is working with because he’s still single after all these years.
