Is Adele In Hiding? ‘Rolling In The Deep’ Singer Skipped Met Gala Because She’s Scared Of Her Haters
Adele is allegedly in hiding after she skipped the Met Gala.
In its May 23 issue, Star claimed that Adele was invited to the prestigious gathering but canceled at the last minute.
A source alleged that the singer didn’t want to be seen in public just yet because she’s still reeling from a recent backlash.
Weeks ago, the “Rolling in the Deep” singer shocked her fans when she announced that her Las Vegas shows have been canceled.
Adele claimed that things were not ready that’s why she couldn’t push through with her performances.
“She’s deep in negotiations for her new residency. She really didn’t want to be seen after her disastrous retreat from her last residency,” the source said.
The insider claimed that Adele also thought that she would be asked about the cancelation if she attends the Met Gala. After all, the reporters there would’ve wanted to know all the details.
“The whole idea made her nervous,” she said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.
There’s no proof that Adele is in hiding or that she was supposed to attend the Met Gala but didn’t.
It’s not also true that Adele is worried that she would be asked by reporters about the cancelation of her Las Vegas residencies.
Since the singer has been in the industry for quite some time, it’s highly likely for her to already be used to being asked juicy questions. And so far, Adele has been taking things in stride.
Meanwhile, she also made headlines recently amid claims that she’s gearing up for her upcoming Las Vegas shows.
According to Star, Adele is desperate to have a do-over after she fired her entire set design team.
“Adele was extremely unhappy with her former set designer. She fired her whole creative team and wants to be certain the production design is fabulous this time,” the source said.
However, one should also take these claims with a grain of salt.
There’s no proof that Adele fired her set design team or that the group was the ones that failed to deliver on time.
Since concerts and live performances are a collective effort, it’s more likely for everyone involved to have had a hand in the show’s postponement.
Adele’s new Las Vegas show dates have not yet been confirmed.
