Angelina Jolie and Tom Cruise are allegedly trying to see if they are a match for each other.

In its Jan. 29 issue, Heat UK claimed that Jolie and Cruise have always been interested in each other. But the timing has always been their issue. After all, Jolie was still married to Brad Pitt when Cruise expressed interest in her.

But now that they are both single, Jolie and Cruise don’t allegedly want to waste any more time before they get to know each other better.

“Right after Angelina and Brad broke up, Tom reached out and offered his support. They had a few meetings and talked about doing a movie together, but it didn’t pan out. She was too busy with her kids and trying to get through the divorce. But now she’s working more. Tom’s giving it another shot,” the source said.

The insider added that it doesn’t take a genius to know that Cruise is smitten with Jolie.

“It doesn’t take a genius to figure out Tom is making a play to get to know Ange better. The way he talks about her makes that obvious, plus they’re both single – it’s the perfect time to make a move,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

After all, some publications previously claimed that Jolie and Cruise actually disliked each other.

The A-listers’ feud allegedly started while Jolie and Pitt were still together. After all, Jolie knew that Pitt and Cruise disliked each other.

However, these claims have not been proven in the same way that the dating rumors between Jolie and Cruise have not been confirmed.

As of late, the only possible reason why Jolie and Cruise are being linked to each other is that they are both single.

Last year, the Maleficent star admitted that she has not dated anyone since her divorce from Pitt. Jolie said that this was her choice because she knows that it’s challenging to be with her because of all her requirements.

Cruise, on the other hand, has been linked to a slew of women including his Mission: Impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell. However, the actor has also been single since his divorce from Katie Holmes in 2012.

There’s no indication that Cruise is looking for love or that he’s ready to date.
