Prince Harry and not Meghan Markle is, allegedly, the one that wants to skip the Oscars.

In its Jan. 10 issue, National Enquirer claimed Prince Harry is also the one that doesn’t want to cross paths with Kristen Stewart at the awards show. But other tabloids are saying that it’s the Duchess of Sussex.

A source claimed that Markle can fake it until she makes it with Stewart because she’s desperate to attend the award shows. Prince Harry, on the other hand, thinks that it’s best if they skip the award show altogether instead of faking things.

“The Spencer star has been winning raves for her dark, disturbing portrayal of his late mother, Princess Diana and it’s struck a sour note with Harry. He’s pretty appalled by the film,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Prince Harry and Markle already received invitations to all the big events including the Oscars. But they know that Stewart will be there so they think it’s best if they just politely decline the invitation.

“Meghan figures they can just ignore Kristen or be briefly polite, but Harry’s not one to be fake, and his nerves are still raw. He’s actually thinking about skipping the Oscars, but Meghan really wants to get back into the Hollywood scene,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Prince Harry and Markle are rumored to be skipping the Oscars because of Stewart.

According to reports, the couple doesn’t want to feel any tension when they go to the red-carpet event that’s why they prefer to skip it altogether.

But in October, Heat UK claimed that Markle wants to attend all the award shows because she wants to be the queen of the red carpet.

“When Meghan and Prince Harry moved to America, they had expected to be invited to all the A-list events and wanted to be superstars. But, obviously, that all stopped because of lockdown, and then Meghan got pregnant with Lilibet. But now things are kind of back to normal, Meghan really wants to go to all the big parties and events they are invited to and show that Hollywood side to her,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Prince Harry and Markle have not been invited to the Oscars. And there’s no reason for them to go because they are not part of the Hollywood industry.

After they quit The Firm, Markle made it clear that she won’t return to acting – at least not for now.
