After several weeks of unfavorable news about her, Lea Michele now has some good news to talk about as she gives birth to her first child with husband Zandy Reich.
People reports that the 33-year-old welcomed a baby boy on the 20th, quoting a source. Both Michele and the baby boy are supposedly happy and healthy, with the delivery being an easy one for Michele.
The magazine also confirmed that the baby boy is named Ever Leo.
Life & Style looked back at the relationship of Michele and Reich, who first met back in 2017. Back then, Michele said that she did not expect the connection she had with the businessman. They were both attending the wedding of Michele’s best friend and happened to be sitting next to each other.
Michele says it was the fact that Reich was so different from her that drew her to him. Life & Style quotes a source as saying that Michele loves that Reich is not an actor and has no desire to be in the spotlight. The source also said that Michele was drawn to Reich’s kindness and fashion knowledge.
Two years after their meeting, Michele and Reich married in March of 2019 at a ceremony in Northern California. By April 2020, Michele had confirmed that she was having a baby with Reich.
Of course, this good news follows weeks of news of either death or bad behavior on the part of Michele. Just recently, the actress paid tribute to former Glee co-stars Naya Rivera and Corey Monteith on her Instagram account.
At the time of Michele’s Instagram, Rivera’s body had just recently been found after being lost in a lake for five days. Coincidentally, it was also the seventh anniversary of Monteith’s death. Michele and Monteith dated previously and had even considered marriage.
Before the tragedy of Rivera’s death, Michele was being attacked on social media after former Glee co-star Samantha Ware accused her of making her time on the show a living hell. The ensuing social media maelstrom resulted in Michele losing a HelloFresh brand partnership.
Aside from Michele, a number of other Hollywood names were accused of bad behavior behind the camera. The most prominent one has been Ellen DeGeneres and her eponymous talk show. A Buzzfeed report alleged that the television show was a toxic workplace, with incidents of sexual harassment and racism. Staffers were also, reportedly, denied time off for their mental health or to attend funerals.
Former MacGyver showrunner Peter Lenkov was also accused by the show’s star, Lucas Till, of bullying and body-shaming, to the point that Till considered suicide.
