After her silence regarding the disappearance of Naya Rivera supposedly drove her off of Twitter, Glee star Lea Michele has not taken to her Instagram stories to publicly pay tribute to two of her fallen Glee co-stars, Naya Rivera and Corey Monteith.

People reports that Michele posted black-and-white photos of Naya Rivera onto her Instagram Stories once it was confirmed by police that the body of the actress had been discovered after disappearing for five days.

Michele then followed it up with a black-and-white photo of co-star and ex-boyfriend Corey Monteith, who died back in 2013 because of the “mixed drug toxicity” of alcohol and heroin.  Monteith was only 31-years-old at the time. Before his death, he and Michele had apparently been considering marriage.

Michele sharing the photo of Monteith is especially poignant as it is also the seventh anniversary of the actor’s death.

The Glee actress’s return to social media comes after a few weeks of being the subject of social media vilification, after former co-star Samantha Ware claimed that Michele made her time on the show “a living hell.”

Because of Ware’s allegation and the social media furor that followed, Michele ended up losing a partnership with the brand HelloFresh, who said that they did not approve of discrimination or racism of any kind.

Rivera’s disappearance further intensified the abuse, as Rivera had previously written about the rocky relationship she had with Michele in her memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up. According to Rivera, Michele did not talk to her for the entirety of the sixth season of Glee and said that the two of them were “not the best of friends.”

E! Online reports that other members of the Glee cast also shared their sorrow about the confirmation of Rivera’s death. Chris Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel on the show, said on his Instagram that it was impossible to summarize a decade of friendship with just words alone.

Becca Tobin, who played Kitty Wilde, called Rivera talented, gorgeous, witty, but that what she would remember the most was her kindness. She shared that she would be forever grateful to Rivera for being kind to her on the show when she was just new on it.

Jenna Ushkowitz, who played Tina Cohen-Chang, said she would keep the legacy of Rivera’s “talent, humor, light and loyalty” alive. She also expressed disbelief at her taking for granted that Rivera would always be around.
