Ewan McGregor and his ex-wife Eve Mavrakis are closer to fully finalizing the end of their marriage as a court has announced that McGregor has to split half of all the royalties he has earned from film and television with Mavrakis.
Page Six reports McGregor has agreed to a judgment passed that requires him to split all of his movie and television royalties before May 2017 with Mavrakis. May is the month McGregor and Mavrakis broke up after McGregor was spotted kissing Mary Elizabeth Winstead, his co-star in the television series Fargo.
One of the film royalties McGregor would have to split with Mavrakis includes the $3 million he earned from doing Christopher Robin, despite the film having been released a year after McGregor and Mavrakis separated.
The Daily Record adds that McGregor will also be splitting his earnings from his time playing a young Obi Wan Kenobi in the very lucrative Star Wars films. Mavrakis also gets to keep their Los Angeles family home worth $6.6 million as well as all of her jewelry.
McGregor, on the other hand, will keep 30 of the vehicles they have amassed during their 22-year marriage, while Mavrakis gets to keep five. McGregor will also have to pay $501,704 so that the asset split between him and Mavrakis is evened out.
Mavrakis will also receive $35,868 per month in spousal support as well as $14,934 in child support. McGregor and Mavrakis have four daughters: Clara, Jamyan, Esther, and Anouk. Twenty-four-year-old Clara has been public about her dislike of Winstead, calling her “a piece of trash” on Instagram.
McGregor and Mavrakis aren’t the only A-list couple that has recently gone through a very public break up. Amber Heard and Johnny Depp have not only gone through a contentious divorce but are also embroiled in a libel suit that Heard has described as “incredibly painful.”
According to Heard, the libel trial has exposed details of her life with Depp that she considers traumatic. Heard also labeled the trial as a waste of British taxpayer money and shared that she would have preferred not to go to London to testify in it.
Lawyers for Depp have labeled Heard as a “compulsive liar” and questioned her faithfulness during the marriage, alleging that Heard had engaged in a threesome with Elon Musk and Cara Delevingne while she was still married to Depp. Heard and Musk have both denied this allegation.
During their 2017 divorce, Depp paid Heard a $7 million settlement.
