Calista Flockhart and Helen Mirren’s marriage could allegedly be ending because of the latter’s recent comments about Helen Mirren.

In its Feb. 27 issue, New Idea claimed that Flockhart was humiliated after hearing what her husband had to say about Mirren.

“Harrison has caused chaos with his inappropriate comments. Calista is humiliated to have her husband talking about another woman like that. She always felt uneasy about Harrison reuniting with Helen after all these years because she knows how attracted he was to her. She is deeply upset,” the source said.

The source also claimed that even Mirren wasn’t so thrilled to hear Flockhart call her sexy, among several other comments.

“Helen is a married woman and doesn’t think it’s the done thing for a man to go on TV making lusty comments about another man’s wife. She’ll probably pull him up about it – in her own way. Her first thought was wondering how Calista felt about it. The last thing she wants is for Calista to be uncomfortable,” the source said.

This is not the first time that Flockhart and Ford’s marriage was rumored to be ending. In December, the same tabloid alleged that the actor is caught up between his wife and Mirren.

“When Harrison was the first cast, Calista came up with the idea that she could play his wife. She thought it’d be really fun if they carried on the tradition of casting actual spouses together,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Flockhart is urging Ford to double up on his acting gigs so that he can bring more money home.

“Calista was secretly hoping Harrison could use some of his A-list pulling power to get her the gig, but given he’s not a producer, he didn’t really have a say in who would play his wife. He raised the question out of duty, but no offense to Calista, they were never going to go for her if they had Helen already on the hook,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Flockhart and Ford’s marriage is ending. And it’s not also accurate to say that Flockhart was humiliated by Ford’s comments about Mirren.

As of late, there’s also no proof that Mirren was offended when Ford called her sexy.
