Russell Crowe is allegedly ready to settle down but he first needs to put his weight in check.
An unnamed source told Globe that Crowe has been trying his best to lose all the weight that he gained for a movie role. And he is doing this on top of planning his wedding to Britney Theriot.
“[He] has been planning a wedding with Britney for a while now and working on getting his weight down to a friendlier tuxedo size. He’s not crash-dieting, he’s doing it the natural and organic way for once. It’s a slow process and more about cutting back on things that aren’t good for his waistline and not eating after a certain time of night as opposed to doing some diet fad where he’ll just pack it all back on again,” the source said.
The source said that Crowe is inspired to take better care of himself because he wants to live a long and happy life with his future wife.
“They fit well together and she makes him happy,” the source said.
Last week, New Idea published a similar story about Crowe and Theriot. The tabloid claimed that the happy couple is finally engaged.
“Britney made no effort to hide the ring. But she also wouldn’t elaborate on it. It was clear that she is very happy though – she has a real glow about her. He’s been telling friends since he met Britney that she’s different. She is loyal, fun, and beautiful – everything he wanted in a companion,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloids’ claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Crowe and Theriot are already engaged. If they are, more reputable sources would’ve already reported it. And Crowe himself would’ve shared the news with the rest of the world.
As of late, there’s also no indication that Crowe has been trying to lose weight after he gained some pounds for his role in a movie. The actor seems happy with his weight and if the time comes that he wants to get rid of some pounds, he would just do it.
There’s no reason to pressure Crowe into losing weight or to make a big deal of his weight gain especially since everyone knows that he only packed on the pounds for the job.
