Russell Crowe has been sparking rumors that he and his American girlfriend, Britney Theriot could finally be engaged.

A source told New Idea that the couple went on a date recently and Theriot seemingly flashed her ring finger for the entire world to see her new bling.

Even though the couple has not yet confirmed their engagement, the tabloid insisted that this was more than enough proof that the couple is already engaged.

“Britney made no effort to hide the ring. But she also wouldn’t elaborate on it. It was clear that she is very happy though – she has a real glow about her,” the source said.

The source also claimed that Crowe looked very happy to be seen with Theriot by his side.

“He’s been telling friends since he met Britney that she’s different. She is loyal, fun, and beautiful – everything he wanted in a companion,” the source said.

The source also claimed that it was Theriot who changed Crowe’s mind about getting married again. After his split from his ex-wife, the actor allegedly vowed never to get married again but then he met his current girlfriend and everything changed.

“Russell went through hell with his divorce but he really is a sucker for love and despite his tough-guy persona, marrying his girlfriend on a whim with his mom and sons by his side is exactly what he would do,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. It’s not true that Crowe and Theriot are already engaged. If they are, the couple would definitely share the news with their fans.

Even though it’s true that Theriot was seen wearing a huge ring on his finger, it could’ve been any ring and not necessarily the one that was given to her by Crowe.

Last week, the actor also made headlines after he was linked to Terri Irwin. For several months, the tabloids insisted that there was something going on between the two even though they are just friends.

But when no one believed those kinds of stories, they are now insisting that Crowe already proposed to Theriot and that he is finally ready to settle down again.

However, none of these claims are true. For now, Crowe and Theriot are just enjoying each other’s company.
