Johnny Depp allegedly plans to seek professional help so that he could continue to improve himself.
In its July 18 issue, Star claimed that Depp used to go to therapy due to his anxiety and addiction. After winning his lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, he wants to go back because he knows that he can be a better version of himself because of it.
“Johnny’s become a big believer in therapy and says it’s changed his outlook on everything. He learned tools that enabled him to take a step back instead of taking the bait and flying off the handle as he did in the past,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Depp didn’t really have any plans to destroy Heard’s life. But he was pushed to the limit when the actress kept making up lies about him and their relationship.
“Johnny and Amber could be passionate and loving, but they are both intense characters with a propensity for partying and jealousy. When they fought, they fought hard and horribly. He insists his motivation was never to ruin her, he was merely looking to correct her accusations about his character,” the source said.
And when it comes to his career, Depp allegedly plans to take some time off because he returns to the big screen. In fact, the actor is being extra-picky when it comes to the projects that he would accept.
“Johnny is playing his cards close to his chest while his people assess his options and figure out what makes the most sense. What’s most important to him is choosing the right project and teaming up with the right producers. They guys who have had his back through thick and thin,” the source said.
Depp is also grateful for all those who supported him and showed him, love, while he was on trial. More specifically, he’s eternally grateful to Winona Ryder and Kate Moss. The latter even gave her testimony virtually during Depp’s hearing.
As for Ryder, the Stranger Things star was linked to Depp recently. However, it is important to note that Ryder is in a relationship with someone else.
As for the rumors that Depp plans to go back to therapy, it’s unclear if this is accurate. What is known is that the actor got his life back after winning the defamation lawsuit.
