Meghan Markle Allegedly Planning To Build A Castle In Los Angeles That Would Cost Her $100 Million
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are still, technically, living the life of royalties even though they are no longer senior working royals in the United Kingdom.
After all, Markle and Prince Harry are living in a mansion in Montecito with their two children. The couple has also been making millions of dollars from their lucrative deals with various companies and brands.
But New Idea, in its Jan. 24 issue, claimed that all these are still not enough for the Duchess of Sussex.
A source claimed that Markle recently told Prince Harry that she wants to build her own castle in Los Angeles from the ground up. And no expense would be spared. The Duke of Sussex was left with no other choice but to agree with his wife.
“Harry was blindsided by her announcement. They have everything that they could ever want on their estate, including a playground for the kids and a tennis court. He’s struggling to see why she’s unsatisfied,” the source said.
However, the source also claimed that Markle couldn’t care less about Prince Harry’s reservations. At the end of the day, she would still do whatever she wants to do to make herself happy.
“She’s interested in the gated community of Hidden Hills in Los Angeles, which is super private and ultra-expensive. The lots alone sell for around $2 million. It’s no wonder the residents are rich and famous types like the Kardashians, who are looking for privacy on spectacular mountaintops, but within driving distance of Hollywood,” the source said.
The insider also claimed that Markle inquired about a vacant lot on Palm Springs’ Madison Club estates, where Kris Jenner and Cindy Crawford live.
“She has a very grand vision and is laser-focused on the plans for this home. Prices have gone up and up, so this is going to be costly. Time will tell on Meghan’s big plans,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. There’s no indication that Markle wants to build her own castle in Los Angeles from the ground up.
This doesn’t make sense because she and Prince Harry just moved to Montecito less than two years ago.
Prince Harry and Markle have also made Montecito their home together with their kids, Archie and Lilibet so it’s unlikely for them to move out of the property anytime soon.
