Courteney Cox, Johnny McDaid’s Relationship Wouldn’t Have Allegedly Survived If Not For David Arquette
Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid have been together for quite some time, and fans are waiting for them to finally tie the knot.
In its Dec. 27 issue, Closer UK claimed that Cox and McDaid wouldn’t have survived all the challenges that they faced if not for David Arquette’s help. After all, the Friends alum allegedly asks her ex-husband for advice every time she and McDaid are having problems.
“David and Johnny get on really well and David was her rock during their separation last year, which was incredibly tough – often inviting her for dinner and making sure she didn’t feel lonely,” the source said.
The insider added that Cox still leans on her baby daddy for a lot of things including relationship advice.
“Courteney leans on David a lot for relationship advice too and, as ironic and crazy as it might seem, she partly credits him for helping her and Johnny reach such a happy point in their relationship,” the source said.
Other than McDaid, Cox has also been leaning on her best friend, Jennifer Aniston.
After she and Arquette split, Cox stayed with Aniston for a couple of months. After all, The Morning Show actress knows what it’s like to go through a highly-publicized split.
The source said that it wasn’t hard for Cox and Arquette to stay friends right after their split because they have a daughter together. But on top of this, the exes always have respect for each other so they never held grudges.
Cox and Arquette also reunited months ago to reprise their roles in Scream Queens. And the opportunity paved the way for them to develop a much stronger bond with each other.
Now, the exes’ priority is their 17-year-old daughter. And Cox and Arquette know that they would do anything for her.
“They split because they fell out of love, but they wanted to remain amicable for her. But in all truth, they never really argued – they just grew apart. And they both always try to see things from the other’s point of view and come to a compromise,” the source said.
But despite Cox and Arquette’s close co-parenting relationship, there’s no indication that the former relied on the latter to help her with her new relationship.
Arquette is now married to Christina McLarty, and they have two children together so this is what keeps the actor preoccupied.
