Meghan Markle’s recent appearance on the Ellen Show drew a slew of mixed reactions from fans.

Some of Markle’s supporters praised her for being game especially when she took part in a prank. But her critics were convinced that Markle just destroyed her reputation by making jokes on television.

In its Dec. 3 issue, Heat UK claimed that Markle would one day be embarrassed by what she did. But for now, she will continue to enjoy the limelight. After all, this is what she’s always been after that’s why she quit The Firm.

“Quitting the royal family because they wanted a quiet, private life and not be in the public eye… How’s that working out? There is nothing this woman won’t do to be in the spotlight. Toe-curlingly embarrassing,” a source said.

The magazine also pointed out that the Markle that appeared on the Ellen Show was very different from the woman that everyone saw on television in March. At the time, Markle spoke to Oprah Winfrey about her struggles as a former senior working royal.

During her appearance on the Ellen Show last week, host Ellen DeGeneres revealed that it was Markle who asked her if she prank some of the vendors that sell items close to the studio. And of course, the comedian said yes.

DeGeneres placed an earpiece on Markle and she gave the Duchess of Sussex instructions to hilariously eat a piece of biscuit to make cat sounds and more.

Everyone on set seemed to have a good laugh, but Markle’s critics reportedly didn’t. In fact, they became even more enraged with Prince Harry’s wife because they believe that she just wants to be in the spotlight all the time.

Even Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle Sr., dubbed his daughter’s guesting on the Ellen Show as a “stupid stunt.”

“It’s no way to behave. The whole thing was kind of embarrassing. It was certainly embarrassing for the Royal Family. It’s embarrassing for her as well. I suspect it embarrassed everyone in the UK, too. She’s putting herself out there as a duchess but I’ve never seen a duchess behave this way, doing stupid stunts,” Thomas told Sunday Mirror.

Markle and her dad remain estranged to this day. But the Duchess of Sussex’s brother, Thomas Markle Jr. recently said that their dad is willing to forgive his sister as long as she reaches out to him.
