Nick Cannon Allegedly Offers $60 To Guests So They’ll Watch His New Talk Show Live
Nick Cannon is allegedly desperate to have live audiences when he begins filming for his new talk show.
In its Nov. 1 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Cannon and the producers of his show are offering guests $60 just so they would watch the live taping.
“It’s clear the show is having a hard time filling the seats, particularly among certain demographics. Every time crew members see a fresh person to come to a taping within the next 24 hours. But the show is new – they’re still trying to generate buzz and get it off the ground,” the source said.
The tabloid also claimed to have asked a mole to join the live taping of Cannon’s new show. And they allegedly noticed that audiences were handed an envelope with cash after the filming.
They were also promised more money if they will return to the show.
According to the source, there are also claims that Cannon could permanently take over Wendy Williams’ timeslot after the latter won’t return to The Wendy Williams Show soon.
Cannon temporarily replaced Williams after she contracted COVID-19. The latter is also seeking treatment for his mental health issues.
“He already has a major platform and a huge fan base, so it’s an easy win,” the source said.
Fans of Cannon who have seen him host his show are also hoping that Mariah Carey’s ex-husband will give audiences lavish gifts over the holidays. After all, Williams has been sharing giveaways with fans for years.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. After all, Cannon will just replace Williams temporarily. And there’s still no word as to whether Cannon will get to keep the hosting gig permanently.
As of late, there’s also no proof that Cannon and the staff of his talk show have been giving audiences money just so they would return to the program. This doesn’t make sense because fans do not usually need to be given anything if it means they will be able to see their favorite celebrities.
By the looks of it, this is just the tabloid’s way of concocting stories about Cannon and Williams to make it seems as though there’s a story there. However, the truth is there’s really none.
Cannon has just been covering for Williams until she gets better and finally returns to her show.
