Prince Charles’ Team Allegedly Putting The Blame On Michael Fawcett To Protect Future King
Prince Charles and his team are allegedly putting the blame on Michael Fawcett with regards to the cash-for-titles scandal.
In its Nov. 1 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Prince Charles knew all about the cash-for-title scandal. He’s just putting the blame on his right-hand man to avoid tarnishing his reputation.
Fawcett, who has always been loyal to Prince Charles, allegedly agreed to take the blame and do not implicate his boss.
As a result, he decided to quit his job at the Prince’s Foundation, but he will continue to receive monetary benefits in secret from the future king.
“Fawcett is fully prepared to fall on his sword to protect Charles. He gets his hand dirty so Charles’ can remain clean. Charles has repeatedly said he knew none of this was going on, but certainly some of the more cynical amongst the public isn’t buying it,” the source said.
Insiders are also accusing Fawcett of bypassing the Prince’s Foundation’s ethics committee to accept money from dubious donors.
“Some of the financial controls were circumvented by the fundraisers in order to get the cash. They were operating behind the backs of the board. The official running of the Prince’s Foundation was good – it was what was going on unofficially that was the problem,” the source said.
The insider said that Prince Charles signed the documents written and prepared by Fawcett. And this proves that he was aware of what was going on at the Prince’s Foundation.
However, Prince Charles has vehemently denied any involvement.
The tabloid is not also able to provide any concrete proof that Prince Charles had something to do with the cash-for-titles scandal. This means that they are just speculating on the future king’s possible involvement.
Fawcett also resigned from his job, and this is something that he wouldn’t do unless he believes that he did something wrong.
If Prince Charles was to blame, it’s unlikely for Fawcett to resign from his job at the Prince’s Foundation.
As of late, an investigation with regards to the cash-for-titles scandal is underway.
But even if Prince Charles is involved in it, it’s unlikely for the future king to be sanctioned for any wrongdoing. After all, he is the future king of Britain.
Prince Charles also made headlines recently after he shared his dreams for his grandchildren. He said that he hopes climate change can be addressed for the sake of his young relatives.
