Prince Harry allegedly chose money over Princess Diana’s memory.

In its Oct. 16 issue, Closer UK claimed that Prince Harry has been all talk about respecting Princess Diana’s memory.

However, he did not stop Netflix from releasing a documentary on the late royal.

In fact, Prince Harry didn’t seemingly stand up for his mom because he has ties to the streaming platform.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Prince Harry and Markle signed a multi-year deal with Netflix. As of late, their first project with the streaming platform has not yet been released. But it’s only a matter of time before something airs.

Just recently, a musical on Princess Diana aired on Netflix and royal fans were furious because the streaming platform seemingly disrespected the late royal.

They also attacked Prince Harry for not asking Netflix to take down the program.

However, they also think that he will never do such a thing for fear that Netflix would cut ties with him and his wife.

“They appear to be turning a blind eye to the Diana musical, which just adds to the impression that Harry and Meghan are cashing in on Diana and their royal connection. Presumably, they won’t cut ties with Netflix because of it, because they thrive off the interest in Diana. It’s what makes them bankable,” the source said.

The insider added that Prince Harry and Markle continue to stab the hearts of the other royals because they continue to play on their connections with other companies and platforms.

“That’s the issue Harry and Meghan face with trying to blur the lines between being royal and being celebrities. It just doesn’t work,” the source said.

As of late, Prince Harry and Markle have not commented on Netflix’s Princess Diana musical. So, no one knows for sure if they also dislike the program or not.

But it is true that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have found themselves in a very difficult spot because they can’t necessarily ask Netflix to not produce shows on the royal family.

Prince Harry and Markle have a multi-year deal with Netflix, but this doesn’t mean that they have a say when it comes to their programming.

After all, the former senior working royals only have control on their shows and not on the shows of other producers and actors.
