Jennifer Lopez Doesn’t Think She Needs A Prenuptial Agreement Before Marrying Ben Affleck
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck trust each other so much that they don’t think they need a prenuptial agreement before they tie the knot.
In its Sept. 27 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that Lopez is worth $400 million, while Affleck is worth $150 million. Even though the Batman v Superman actor’s net worth is much lower than Lopez's, he’s still worth something.
But a source claimed that those close to Lopez are convincing her to have a prenuptial agreement to avoid the same mistake that she made when she got engaged to Alex Rodriguez.
Even though the exes didn’t end up tying the knot, they are now having a hard time splitting their assets because they don’t have a document on hand.
“They don’t really care about getting a prenup, but those close to them do. Jen has been advised by her team to have a contract in place after the difficulty she had splitting her assets with Alex Rodriguez,” the source said.
The insider claimed that those close to Affleck also want the actor to protect his assets especially since everyone knows that Lopez has a lavish lifestyle.
“They probably will get one, but they can’t imagine ever needing to use it. They’re so in love. She’s even uprooting to Austin, Texas, to be with him while he films his new movie,” the source said.
Last year, rumors also swirled that Lopez and Rodriguez have a prenuptial agreement in the place. And the World of Dance judge is using it to ensure that Rodriguez won’t cheat on her.
According to Woman’s Day, Lopez wanted the prenuptial agreement to have a $250 million cheating clause. This way, Rodriguez would be forced to focus on Lopez alone.
But as we now know, there are also reports claiming that Rodriguez cheated on Lopez. And it allegedly happened multiple times throughout their relationship.
If this were really the case, Lopez and Rodriguez didn’t obviously a prenuptial agreement or the latter would’ve been forced to pay his ex $250 million.
As of late, it’s also pointless for Lopez and Affleck to already be thinking about a prenuptial agreement because they just got back together. It’s unlikely for the A-listers to already be thinking about marriage.
Lopez and Affleck are not yet engaged, and it’s unlikely for them to get engaged anytime soon. So, if the couple has not yet gotten engaged, they won’t also tie the knot anytime soon.
