Katie Holmes is allegedly desperate to find love, and she wants to date an Australian man this time around.

In its September 27 issue, New Idea claimed that Holmes has been asking help from her friend, Rose Byrne to set her up.

“Katie used the fashion week to spread the word to all the well-connected stars that she wants a husband and asked for introductions. She told Rose and Naomi that if they know of any eligible Australians to let her know,” the source said.

The insider claimed that this isn’t the first time that Holmes was linked to an Australian man. After all, there were also rumors suggesting that she hung out with Liam Hemsworth on multiple occasions.

However, the Australian actor ended up dating his model girlfriend, Gabriella Brooks.

Two years ago, New Idea was also the one that spread the false claims about the A-listers. Back then, the tabloid alleged that Holmes and Hemsworth are both newly single that’s why they decided to date.

A source claimed that Holmes is close to Chris Hemsworth’s wife, Elsa Pataky and she vowed to introduce the actress to her brother-in-law.

“Katie still keeps in touch and Elsa knows she’s had a hard time in her love life of late. Elsa thinks the pair will hit it off and Liam is just Katie’s type,” the source said.

However, two years have already passed but Hemsworth and Holmes still never dated. And it’s also unclear if they even know each other in the first place.

By the looks of it, the tabloid is just linking Holmes to the actor because she previously visited Australia. And since Hemsworth is from there, it was a convenient storyline used as a clickbait tactic.

As of late, Holmes is still single after splitting from her chef ex-boyfriend, Emilio Vitolo. The two dated for a few months before eventually calling it quits.

Multiple publications claimed that Holmes and Vitolo split because of the actress’s busy schedule. While others also alluded to the breakup to Vitolo using Holmes for exposure.

Unfortunately, no one knows for sure why the exes decided to call it quits because Holmes and Vitolo have never publicly addressed their previous relationship.

Shortly after, Vitolo was also accused of hooking up with random women. And Holmes was also rumored to be dating a much older man.
