Renee Zellweger may have just set herself up for another heartbreak.

In its September 20 issue, In Touch Weekly claimed that the actress is reconsidering her recent engagement to Ant Anstead. After all, she just found out that the TV personality had a history of cheating.

A source claimed that Zellweger’s friends have warned her to be careful of Anstead because if he won’t cheat on her, it’s possible that he’s just using her to get over his ex-wife.

“Some believe he’s on the rebound and others fear he could be using Renee for fame. Her friends want her to dump him,” the source said.

The insider added that Zellweger is struggling to follow her mind because Anstead has a way of charming her.

Anstead’s first ex-wife, Louise also had some strong allegations against the TV star.

“Ant was very intense. If he likes you, he showers you with attention. He can switch that off very quickly, though. I honestly regret ever meeting him,” Louise said.

Meanwhile, another source said that Zellweger should consider getting a prenup if she and Anstead decide to tie the knot.

“And he would be an absolute idiot if he cheated on her. Imagine the amazing parties and connections. She could open so many doors for him if she wanted to. Renee is a big girl and can take care of herself. If Ant doesn’t have the best intentions, she will see through him,” the source said.

With this, the tabloid just proved that their concerns over Zellweger and Anstead’s relationship are pointless. After all, the Bridget Jones Diary star can reportedly take care of herself.

It is also not true that Zellweger is thinking about ending her engagement to Anstead because the latter hasn’t proposed.

The couple just started dating a few months ago. And even though they never publicly confirmed their relationship, they have been photographed canoodling with each other on multiple occasions.

As for Anstead’s exes, their claims of cheating and abuse may or may not be true. But this is between them and it doesn’t involve Zellweger.

Prior to Anstead, Zellweger was briefly married to Kenny Chesney. The latter said that their marriage didn’t work out because they didn’t fit each other’s boxes.

Years ago, there were also rumors that their marriage fell apart because Chesney was gay. However, Zellweger has since denied these claims.
