Many fans and even critics of Talor Swift are right now praising the pop star as she seemed to have prevented something awful from happening. This all has to do with her very public feud Scooter Braun, who owns Ithaca Ventures. His company bought Big Machine Label Group, which had been the label that Swift was signed to and which produced most of her album, except for 'Lover'. With his purchase of the label came the control of Swift's master recordings for all her earlier work, which would make him profit from all of them. 

This led Taylor to pen a post where she called it the worst-case scenario. She had said that she had actually tried to buy all her master recordings but was apparently not given the chance as there was a better offer, presumably from Braun. 

The very public feud is what has set Scooter to rethink his plans of running for public office. According to the Daily Mail, Bruan was thinking that in the future, he would like to be in public service as he was frustrated with the lack of leadership, but he has always hesitated due to his children. He has a five year and three-year-old son with his wife Yael who is a Canadian health activist and philanthropist. 

But due to the backlash he has received with regards to his public feud with Taylor, he has decided to just stick to the private sector. Although he never specifically named Taylor in the interview he granted, his statements seemed to point to none other than the pop star. 

He says that he was attacked publicly by someone he does not know who refuses to have a dialogue with him. This led him to put a stop to his plans. 

Showbiz Cheat Sheet claims that this announcement has elated many people, fans, and critics of Taylor alike. They know that without any background, Braun deciding to run for office can be a nightmare, so they now consider that Taylor has actually done the public service or engaging with the public feud. 

The latest between the two is that Scooter recently released an archival recording of the singer which was done when she was just starting. She took to her social media page to announce that she has never approved its release. 

Aside from engaging in a feud, Taylor has just been enjoying her quarantine time. Fans initially thought that she had something in the works after looking at some of her posts, but this was proven to be false.
