Matthew Perry allegedly decided to get a frantic makeover after his appearance was criticized during the Friends reunion.

In its August 30 issue, OK! magazine claimed that Perry was hurt by all the comments that he received on how he looked. So, he took it upon himself to change some things.

“The things people were saying about how terrible he looked really hurt him. Now, he’s determined to get back on track physically and mentally,” the source said.

Perry allegedly started his makeover by changing his eating habits and lifestyle. The actor now only consumes a low-carb diet. And he also drinks green juices and protein shakes.

On top of this, Perry also hired a personal trainer and he has started lifting weights.

In the past, Perry didn’t like to exercise but he realized that now is the best time for him to commit to a strict routine.

“He’s eager to pull himself together and turn his life around. Matthew is on a serious self-improvement mission. Whatever he’s doing, it’s working,” the source said.

There has been a slew of rumors surrounding Perry throughout the past couple of months.

Shortly after it was announced that he and Molly Hurwitz called off their engagement, the tabloids started saying that Perry has spiraled out of control.

Since the actor previously struggled with his sobriety, there were claims that Perry’s friends and family were worried that he would relapse.

In May, Woman’s Day claimed that Perry’s Friends co-stars were so shocked to see him during the reunion because he aged and deteriorated a lot.

David Schwimmer was especially surprised with how Perry looked because they have not seen each other in years.

And since Perry previously struggled with drugs and alcohol, the tabloid claimed that he could go back to his old ways now that Hurwitz is no longer in his life.

However, a few months have passed since the exes called off their engagement but Perry still seems to be doing fine.

There is no indication that he spiraled out of control following their split. And Perry has not also turned to drugs and alcohol for comfort.

The recent claims about Perry changing his appearance aren’t true either. After all, there’s no proof that the actor was offended by the reception that he received when he appeared at the Friends reunion.
