Meghan Markle has allegedly been spreading lies about Barack Obama’s recent 60th birthday party.

In its August 30 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Markle has been telling her A-list friends that she and Prince Harry were invited by the ex-POTUS.

However, they opted not to attend the birthday celebration due to persona reasons.

A source claimed that Markle decided to tell lies about being invited to the party after learning that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were there.

The former model was recently accused of being a bully, but she still scored an invitation to Obama’s birthday. And she brought her husband along with her.

So, Markle didn’t want others to look down on her so she has been telling them that she and her husband were also invited. But the truth is, they weren’t.

“Meghan insists she and Harry weren’t snubbed. And they just politely opted to stay at home with their kids. But deep down they’re really stung by it. To them, it’s beyond belief that Michelle and Barack would prefer Chrissy’s company to theirs especially after her recent scandals,” the source said.

The insider added that a lot of people were also stunned to learn that the Obamas invited Teigen and Legend to the party despite the recent scandal.

But it is important to note that the former president of the United States adores Legend. And he also loves the singer’s music that’s why he and his wife were invited to his party.

“But it’s also blindingly apparent that Barack and Michelle have had enough of the Sussexes’ drama. For someone like Meghan – who idolizes Michelle and has made a point to ride her coattails at every opportunity – this is the ultimate kick in the teeth,” the source said.

According to reports, Barack didn’t invite Prince Harry and Markle because he wanted to remain neutral amid the couple’s ongoing feud with the royal family.

Even though he’s no longer president, Barack had the opportunity to meet Queen Elizabeth and the other members of the royal family during his time at the White House.

So, even though he’s friends with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, he didn’t want to make it seem as though he was taking their side.

As such, it is not true that Prince Harry and Markle scored an invitation to Barack’s birthday. And there’s also no proof that the Suits alum had been spreading this lie to save face.
