Tom Cruise allegedly has plans to quit Scientology so that he could settle down with Hayley Atwell.

In its August 2 issue, Us Weekly claimed that there are whispers within the religion that poster child Cruise will bid Scientology goodbye very soon.

And the fact that the actor hasn’t shut down the rumors is allegedly enough to convince everyone that the claims are accurate.

“There are whispers he’s backing away from the church, and it’s unusual that he hasn’t denied them. The feeling is he’s excited to keep that part of his life totally private,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Cruise is smitten with his Mission: Impossible co-star. And this is why he decided to pursue a relationship with Atwell after years of being single.

Cruise hasn’t reportedly dated anyone since he divorced Katie Holmes in 2012. But he recently stepped out in public with Atwell when they attended Wimbledon.

“He’s very impressed with Hayley and she checks off a lot of boxes. Hayley’s well-educated, sophisticated, and funny,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Cruise and Atwell were linked to each other.

Last week, New Idea claimed that Cruise is planning his proposal to Atwell because he got her pregnant.

While the news came as a surprise to the actor’s family and friends, everyone is allegedly delighted that Cruise has found love again.

“Some of us didn’t think Tom would ever open up to someone again, but this past year, working alongside Hayley, he’s completely transformed. The fact they’re going public a year before their movie comes out just shows how serious he is about her. It’s nothing short of a miracle to see Tom excited about his world again,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt.

Cruise hasn’t confirmed that he’s dating Atwell so it’s possible that the A-listers are nothing more than just co-stars.

Since they are love interests in Mission: Impossible, they obviously need to have some sort of connection. And this could be why the tabloids are insisting that there’s something going on between the two.

And since Cruise and Atwell may or may not be dating, it’s unlikely for the actor to have gotten his co-star pregnant. So, it is even more unlikely for Cruise to be proposing to Atwell soon.
