Matthew Perry Allegedly Sells His $21 Million Batcave Because Of Molly Hurwitz
Matthew Perry allegedly wants to have a major change in his life after his split from Molly Hurwitz. In its July 5 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Perry decided to sell his Batcave for $21.6 million.
The luxurious property houses some of Perry’s memorabilia from Friends and an actual Batcave that houses his extensive Dark Knight collection.
Perry reportedly purchased the property in 2017 for $20 million. And he put it on the market two years later for $35 million.
Meanwhile, Perry also made headlines this week amid claims that he’s pestering his Friends co-star, Courteney Cox.
According to OK! magazine, the actor needs all the support that he could get now that he’s single once again. And he has turned to Cox for support.
Initially, Cox was very supportive and welcoming of Perry. But she soon realized that her co-star is somehow taking too much of her time.
A source claimed that all Perry does is call Cox day in and day out. And he calls her multiple times per day.
If this isn’t enough, the actor also allegedly calls Cox when she’s out on a date with Johnny McDaid.
According to the insider, McDaid is also starting to get upset with Perry.
“Courteney and Johnny will be out on a date night or enjoying a nice evening at home, and sure enough, it’s Matthew calling again. Courteney’s got a big heart and feels sorry for the guy, but even she’s reaching her limit,” the source said.
However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Since Perry and Cox’s phone conversations take place privately, there’s no way for a tabloid to know all these details.
As such, it is evident the tabloid is just speculating on what Perry has been doing after he called off his engagement to Hurwitz.
But it is true that Perry sold his nearly 9,300-square-foot condominium also known as the mansion in the sky.
The massive property houses four bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and four terraces boasting city views.
Perry’s former property occupies the 40th floor of the Century Building.
Earlier this year, Perry also sold his beach house in Malibu for $13.1 million.
He first placed the property on the market in August 2020 and his asking price was $14.95 million.
It is unclear why Perry has been selling his properties recently. Since it was first put on the market in 2019, his decision to sell the property had nothing to do with Hurwitz.
