'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' Alternate Ending Reveals Kylo Ren's Original Fate
Kylo Ren might not be the most beloved character in the Star Wars Universe but there is little doubt that he has his own legion of fans. Interestingly, these supporters believe that Ben Solo deserved a better conclusion than what happened to him in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. But is it possible that these fans are on to something? A report has revealed that Star Wars Episode 9 actually filmed an alternate ending and it could finally give Han Solo and Leia Organa's son a completely different fate.
Early on in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Kylo Ren was being set up to be Emperor Palpatine's accomplice who gets sent to take down Rey. Kylo also managed to enrage the girl from Jakku by telling her the truth about her lineage: that she is the granddaughter of Palpatine and that the villain wanted to kill her because of her powers. However, things would later change for Kylo after being healed by Rey. After a brief reunion with Han Solo, he throws away his lightsaber and reclaims his name Ben Solo.
Although it appeared that Ben Solo was finally redeemed as he fought alongside Rey, he would later fall victim to Emperor Palpatine. Nevertheless, Rey still managed to defeat Darth Sidious and somehow dies from the effort. Ben then revives her using the Force but the effort kills him. But is this truly the way that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was supposed to end?
Popcorn Talk recently posted an interview with an actor named Juan Bautista who allegedly played one of the Knights of Ren in The Rise of Skywalker. In the interview, Bautista reveals that an alternate ending was shot and it featured a completely different ending for Kylo Ren as well as Rey.
"The rumor is that ... Dai -- I don't know if I should say the name. She does croak and Kylo was the one who was supposed to take up the name for Skywalker. Which makes sense..." Bautista stated.
So is it true that Ben Solo was supposed to live while Rey dies in the alternate conclusion of Star Wars Episode 9? A more recent report has debunked the news, stating that Juan Bautista does not appear in the movie and that the alternate ending does not exist. Sadly, it sounds like the report has been fabricated and that Kylo Ren will remain dead for now.
