Gigi Hadid Promises To Be Like Her Mother Yolanda
After confirming the rumors about her pregnancy, Gigi Hadid is now resolving to be as good of a mother as her own mother, Yolanda.
Page Six reports that Hadid made the promise on Mother’s Day, after posting a throwback photo of her and her mom on her Instagram page. Aside from declaring that she seeks to emulate her, Hadid also called Yolanda the best mother she could ever ask for and called her a superhero.
As People points out, her mother appreciated the sweet gesture, leaving a heart emoji in the comments section of her Instagram and thanking her for the greeting.
The younger Hadid was recently in the news after she confirmed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that she is indeed expecting a child with her partner, singer-songwriter Zayn Malik. During that same interview, Hadid expressed some frustration at not getting to reveal her pregnancy on her own terms, since news about it leaked a month ago. Nevertheless, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who had been showing support.
Hadid and Malik are both isolating on the Hadid family farm in Pennsylvania as part of the lockdown measures in place to stem the spread of the coronavirus in the United States. Hadid also recently celebrated her 25th birthday on the farm, and fans believe that her birthday part also served as a gender reveal party.
Hadid and Malik join other celebrity couples whose lives have had to continue in lockdown as the global coronavirus pandemic rages. Just recently, “Harry Potter” star Rupert Grint welcomed a baby girl after his partner, actress Georgia Groome, gave birth.
Other celebrity couples that have caught the public’s eye during this pandemic include Lily Allen and David Harbour, whom people suspect of being engaged because of a diamond ring that was recently spotted on Allen’s finger when she posted a photo on Instagram.
While these celebrity couples have had a generally okay time while in isolation, other couples have not fared as well. “Loose Women” co-host Stacey Solomon had to reassure fans that she was still in a relationship with Joe Swash after her followers noticed that he was not appearing in her Instagram posts.
Meanwhile, Florence Pugh had to post a video on Instagram defending her boyfriend Zach Braff after people began questioning the huge age gap between the two of them.
While there is no date yet when Hadid will deliver her baby, it will likely be in a world still dealing with the coronavirus pandemic as the number of confirmed cases continue to rise. According to the May 10 situation report of the World Health Organization, there are now 3,917,366 confirmed COVID-19 cases around the world. Fatalities are now at 274,361 people.
As of May 10, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention puts the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States at 1,300,696 people. There are now 78,771 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
