Johnny Depp is allegedly serious about pursuing Angelina Jolie because he thinks that they are perfect for each other. After working in the movie The Tourist years ago, Depp has never really forgotten Jolie.

Now, Globe is claiming in its June 7 issue that Depp wants to pursue Jolie. Since they are both single, and they used to have a strong connection, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor is convinced that they would make a wonderful couple.

A source for the tabloid said that Depp is secretly pursuing Jolie by sending the actress flowers and multiple emails. He has also been cleaning his appearance after learning that Jolie didn’t like his scruffy look.

“Johnny’s openly said one of his biggest regrets in life was settling for a poor man’s version of Angie when he dated Amber. He’s by no means given up on love. He’s just incredibly picky and guarded these days, and that’s one big thing he shares with Angie,” the source said.

The insider added that Depp is willing to go through leaps and bounds to be with Jolie especially after the actress said that she has a long list of deal-breakers.

Depp, on the other hand, also struggled a lot due to his recent divorce battle against Heard.

“Angie and Johnny both have a lot of battle scars and are still tough as hell, which is why a lot of their mutual friends think they’d be perfect for each other,” the source said.

This isn’t the first time that Depp and Jolie were linked. In November, the same tabloid published a similar story about the Edward Scissorhands actor.

Back then, an unnamed source also claimed that Depp had been writing poems for Jolie. The insider also said that Depp is convinced that he and Jolie are a match made in heaven because they both dislike Hollywood.

However, almost a year has passed and there’s still no proof that Depp ever pursued Jolie. In fact, there’s also no proof that the actor was ever smitten with his former co-star.

During her recent interview, Jolie revealed that she never dated after her divorce from Brad Pitt. The actress said that she decided to focus on her children during this difficult time.

In fact, the Maleficent star even had to decline movie offers. Jolie said that she didn’t direct or star in movies because she was so focused on the welfare of her six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.
