Jenna Dewan Running After Channing Tatum’s ‘Magic Mike’ Income: Rumor
Jenna Dewan is allegedly running after her ex-husband Channing Tatum’s salary from the hit movie, Magic Mike.
In its May 24 issue, Life & Style claimed that the exes failed to reach an agreement during their private mediation while discussing the terms of their divorce.
Dewan allegedly feels short-changed because Tatum doesn’t give her enough financial support for their daughter. However, a source for the tabloid claimed that Tatum can’t help but feel that his ex-wife is just being greedy.
For her part, Dewan thinks that Magic Mike wouldn’t be such a huge success if not for her. But in the end, it was Tatum that amassed his $80 million fortune from appearing in the movie alone.
The former World of Dance host argued that she also sacrificed her career during her marriage to Tatum so that he could take part in more projects. And now that their marriage has ended, the professional dancer wants to get what she thinks she deserves.
But despite all their issues, the tabloid claimed that Tatum and Dewan are on the same page when it comes to their daughter.
“Everly comes first for each of them. They’re amicable in front of her. But the truth is, it’s war,” the source said.
But while it is true that the exes are at odds with each other over the Magic Mike franchise, it seems that the actress’s sentiments are valid contrary to what the tabloid is trying to depict.
According to TMZ, Dewan helped choreograph some of Tatum’s dances in the Magic Mike franchise that’s why she wants to get paid some money.
The publication also said that Dewan is asking the court to hold a trial in their divorce case to settle several issues like spousal support and property settlement.
Meanwhile, Tatum also made headlines recently amid reports that he just purchased a farmhouse in Brentwood for $5.6 million. The actor’s recent purchase proves that he’s not strapped for cash so it’s unclear why he and Dewan still haven’t reached a settlement.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tatum and Dewan are still co-owners of their $6 million estate in the mountains above Beverly Hills.
Dewan also purchased a $4.7 million mansion in Encino shortly after her divorce from Tatum.
Following the A-listers’ split, Tatum got into an on-again-off-again relationship with Jessie J. Dewan, on the other hand, got engaged to Steve Kazee shortly after they welcomed their son, Callum in 2020.
