Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew are allegedly plotting how they would go public with their relationship.

In its May 18 issue, Woman UK claimed that the Duke and Duchess of York are finally free to profess their love for each other because Prince Philip is no longer around.

When the Duke of Edinburgh was still alive, he reportedly banned Prince Andrew from getting back together with Fergie. The late royal was also reportedly instrumental in convincing Prince Andrew that he should divorce the redhead.

A source said that the exes have an unconventional but surprisingly strong relationship. And this is something that Prince Philip has always refused to acknowledge. 

The insider also said that Prince Andrew never challenged his dad’s wishes out of respect for him. But life has been very difficult and said for the Duke of York especially since he had to make public appearances by himself.

He was photographed alone at Prince Philip’s funeral because Ferguson wasn’t there. His daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were there but they were with their respective spouses.

According to the source, the Duke of York is grateful that Queen Elizabeth doesn’t feel so strongly against Fergie. This means that there is hope that she would be welcomed into the royal fold again.

Meanwhile, royal correspondent Jennie Bond previously confirmed that Fergie and Prince Andrew were never really far apart. After all, they continue to live together at the Royal Lodge even though they have been divorced since 1992.

“I have no idea if they share a marital bed or pop along the corridor to hop in one another’s bed. I suspect they probably do. They always come back together,” she said.

However, there is no proof that Ferguson and Prince Andrew have plans to confirm their relationship status to the public. After all, there is also no proof that the exes are officially back together.

It is possible that they just have a unique setup because they live together and have managed to stay friends with each other even after their split.

During their interviews, Prince Andrew and Ferguson have nothing but positive things to say about each other. In fact, even amid claims that the latter sexually abused underage girls, Fergie still stood by her ex-husband.

She said that she believes in Prince Andrew and knows that he doesn’t have the capacity to do what the public is accusing him of.
