Prince William Has Knowledge Of The Rumors Suggesting He’s Leapfrog Prince Charles For The Throne
There has been so much talk surrounding the future of the British monarchy after Queen Elizabeth passes away.
But even before the monarch takes her last breath, there are already speculations on who will succeed her.
In its May 17 issue, Us Weekly claimed that Prince William is aware of all the rumors surrounding his future role as king. He knows that a lot of people want him to leapfrog Prince Charles for the throne.
And even though the Order of Succession states that Prince Charles will be the queen’s successor, the source claimed that Prince William has hopes that it could be him.
After all, the idea is flattering and Prince William has been in training to lead the monarchy since he was very young. In fact, the source said that he has the makings of a great king even though there are fears that he would modernize the monarchy to the core.
“William was educated from the very earliest age about the crucial role he would play within the monarchy. He’s always known what’s expected of him when he’s eventually crowned king,” the source said.
However, this is not to say that life has been easy for Kate Middleton’s husband. In fact, preparing to become the future king of Britain has been very challenging for the dad of three.
So, there are times when he feels that he wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. And during these moments, Prince William allegedly heads to Cornwall with his wife to recharge for a few days.
And every time he returns from his short trip, the Duke of Cambridge feels happier and more relaxed, and he’s ready to face the challenges of being a royal head-on.
Meanwhile, the source also claimed to know Prince William’s plans to streamline the monarchy. Even though he respects protocol and tradition, the second in line to the throne wants the monarchy to become more relatable to future generations.
In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have started modernizing the monarchy in their own little way. Last week, they launched their official YouTube channel, which is a first for any member of the royal family.
Middleton also launched her Hold Still book, and she even played hide-and-seek by leaving the commemorative book in secret locations for royal fans to find.
These efforts to become more relatable started amid the coronavirus pandemic last year because the royals had to use platforms like Zoom to reach their audience.
