Julia Roberts has allegedly gone missing in Australia. In its May 10 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that the actress is in Australia to film her upcoming movie with George Clooney.

And since Byron Bay and Bondi Beach are plagued with A-listers, it’s been very common for fans to see their favorite actors roaming the area.

However, no one has seen Roberts in Australia ever since she arrived there weeks ago. And because of this, the tabloid is convinced that the actress has gone missing.

“If filming hasn’t begun yet, it’s a bit weird that they haven’t been spotted making the most of their freedom in Australia,” the source said.

The insider also mentioned some Australian celebrities who are spotted in public often like Chris Hemsworth, Rita Ora, and Natalie Portman.

According to the source, the latter has also been spotted riding her bike around Australia. So, it’s allegedly weird why Roberts hasn’t done the same thing.

In fact, since the Pretty Woman star is easy to recognize, the source said that it’s unlikely for fans to not recognize her if they see her outdoors.

With this, the source claimed that there’s another reason why Roberts may not have been spotted at Byron Bay and Bondi Beach. It’s possible that she’s spending time with her husband and children, who are also in Australia.

If this is the case, it’s obvious that the tabloid is just speculating on Roberts’ whereabouts. And their headline claiming that the actress has gone missing is incorrect.

“Gaslit can’t be far off starting, but it’s looking like they’ll wait until at least spring for the Clooney project because it’s meant to be set in a tropical paradise,” the source said.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Roberts will be starring in Gaslit, alongside Sean Penn, Armie Hammer, and Joel Edgerton. The movie is inspired by the audio series, Slow Burn.

Roberts will play the role of Martha Mitchell, the wife of Richard Nixon’s attorney general, John Mitchell.

The project will focus on the untold stories and forgotten characters of the scandal involving Nixon.

Roberts and Clooney, on the other hand, will reunite in a romantic comedy called Ticket to Paradise and not on Gaslit. This is another proof that the tabloid got their facts wrong about the actress.

Clooney isn’t cast in Gaslit. But his upcoming reunion with Roberts will serve as his first since 2011. The A-listers previously starred in Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve.
