Prince Harry has allegedly asked for Queen Elizabeth’s forgiveness when they reunited at Prince Philip’s funeral last week. And the Duke of Sussex also told his grandmother that he regrets moving to the United States with Meghan Markle and Archie.

In its April 26 issue, New Idea claimed that Prince Harry had a change of heart while he was isolating at Frogmore Cottage ahead of the funeral service. He was inside his bedroom quarantining, and he saw how everyone was involved in finalizing Prince Philip’s funeral.

“He had a lot of alone time to think and eventually pleaded for a quick, socially distant audience with his grandmother to be for her forgiveness for the way he behaved,” the source said.

During their private conversation, Markle’s husband allegedly became a tad bit emotional. Prince Harry also wanted to pay tribute to Prince Philip before the cameras started rolling, and the queen welcomed him with open arms.

And even though the monarch already forgave Prince Harry for mistakes, he’s still reeling from his regret of not flying back to the U.K. to be with Prince Philip before his passing.

Prince Harry also regrets not bringing Archie back home so that he could also spend time with his great-grandfather.

The source said that Prince Harry understands that what he did was an error in judgment, and it’s something that he would have to deal with for the rest of his life.

One of the things that he plans to do in order to cope is to convince Markle to return to the UK so that they could be closer to the queen. However, the Duchess of Sussex isn’t on board with the plan.

However, Prince Harry couldn’t allegedly help but think of what Princess Diana would encourage him to if she was still alive. And this is what he’s been telling his wife.

Meanwhile, the same tabloid claimed that Markle is pining for Prince Harry in Los Angeles.

A second source said that Markle wasn’t thrilled to see Prince Harry with his family again while she’s not with him. After all, she doesn’t trust the royals and fears that they would encourage her husband to return to The Firm.

Markle was also allegedly upset with the royal family had Prince Harry walk behind Prince Philip’s coffin when they know how traumatic it was for him to walk behind Princess Diana’s coffin years ago.
