Prince Harry Doesn’t Regret Airing Controversial Interview While Prince Philip Was In The Hospital: Rumor
Prince Harry is reportedly devastated by Prince Philip’s death and the fact that he wasn’t able to see his grandfather during his final days.
But in its April 17 issue, Heat UK claimed that Prince Harry doesn’t regret having to air his and Meghan Markle’s controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey while the Duke of Edinburgh was at the hospital.
“Leaving the royals and speaking out was something that was very important to them. But they never wanted to hurt anyone. And relations with Harry’s family are the worst they’ve been,” a source said.
The insider also said Prince Harry and Markle felt the need to say something and they could no longer wait to have their say. It’s just unfortunate that the controversial interview aired while Prince Philip was dealing with his health issues.
Meanwhile, the source said that Prince Harry will most likely have an awkward reunion with the royal family at Prince Philip’s funeral. After all, this will be his first time seeing Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton since he quit The Firm last year.
But even though the Duke of Sussex knows how awkward it would be, he still wants to make sure that he would be present at Prince Philip’s funeral.
Days before his interview with Winfrey aired, Prince Harry also appeared on James Corden’s show. While onboard a tour bus, the host asked Prince Harry if he talks to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
The Duke of Sussex revealed that he FaceTime’s with his grandparents sometimes. And he also said that Prince Philip uses a laptop to talk to him. But instead of dropping the Zoom call, he just closes the laptop at the end of their conversation.
Prince Philip died last week at the age of 99. As of late, it is still unclear what caused his death. But he was rushed to the hospital in February, where he had a heart operation.
Following his death, Prince William and Prince Harry paid touching tributes to their grandfather.
The Duke of Cambridge vowed to support Queen Elizabeth together with his wife, Middleton until the end. He also called Prince Philip an extraordinary man who’s part of an extraordinary generation.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, called the Duke of Edinburgh cheeky. He also revealed that he would greatly miss his grandpa, who is a master of the barbecue and a legend of banter.
