Meghan Markle Allegedly Upset That Queen Elizabeth’s Will States She’ll Receive Less Than Kate Middleton
Meghan Markle was allegedly enraged when she found out that she and Kate Middleton were not on equal footing when it comes to Queen Elizabeth’s last will and testament.
According to Life & Style, the Queen didn’t want the members of the royal family to know the details of her will but it was leaked recently. As such, Markle found out that she and Prince Harry would be getting much less than the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
“The word is they’re being given a couple of old, ugly rings, Frogmore Cottage and maybe a few other small things. [Markle] thought she and Kate would be on an equal playing field when it came to the queen’s will. This will make her hit the roof,” the source said.
According to the insider, Prince Harry and Markle told the Queen that they are not interested in material things and money before they quit the royal family. As such, the Queen took these statements into consideration while her will was being drafted.
The insider also claimed that Prince Andrew will be receiving much less than Prince Harry and Markle following the Queen’s death. The Duke of York rocked the royal family with his recent sexual abuse scandal.
Prince Andrew allegedly went into a rage after finding out what he would be getting because he always thought that he’s the Queen’s favorite child.
At the end of the day, the Queen reportedly trusts her instincts. So, her will and testament will allegedly remain the same.
“The way she sees it is that those who pull their weight in the family should reap the rewards. And those who don’t shouldn’t get anything,” the source said.
However, there are several problems with the claims made by the tabloid. First, the Queen’s will is private and there’s no way for its details to be leaked.
As such, the division and the reactions of some members of the royal family to what they will be getting are unfounded. They should, therefore, be taken with a grain of salt.
The Queen is also very healthy at 94. And her husband, Prince Philip will turn 99 next month. It is likely for her will to have already been drawn up. But it unlikely for the royal family to already be looking forward to what they will receive. Because when this happens, the Queen will already be deceased.
