George Clooney’s “ER” costar Julianna Margulies celebrated his 59th birthday by sharing an adorable throwback picture from their hit TV series “ER.”

 

The 53-year-old actress uploaded a throwback picture of Clooney and herself on Instagram to pay tribute to the actor-producer on his 59th birthday. The co-stars are smiling at the camera in the photo. 

Marguiles mentioned that the snap was clicked after they shot their last scene together for the popular medical American medical drama TV series. The longtime pals are seen standing next to each other in this behind-the-scenes snap and look emotional in this cute picture. 

 

The actress captioned the photo with the words: “Happy Birthday to my sweet pal George Clooney.” She added: “This picture was taken right after we filmed our very last scene together in Seattle for #ER.”

 

Fans were ecstatic to see this snapshot from the long-running medical drama on NBC, which aired between 1994 and 2009. Both these stars became incredibly famous because of the popularity of the series. 

 

While  Julianna Margulies played the role of Carol Hathaway, the head nurse in Chicago’s County General Hospital, Clooney portrayed the part of Dr. Doug Ross. His character was that of a womanizer doctor who falls for Carol, TODAY reports.

 

George Clooney’s birthday fell amid the COVID-19 pandemic this year while people are maintaining social distancing throughout the country and across the globe. His birthday celebration this year was quite different s compared to his birthday last year. 

 

The actor had revealed to Jimmy Kimmel in May 2019 that he had a “good day.” He also shared how he celebrated his 58th birthday on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” show.

 

Clooney mentioned that he and his wife had a quiet dinner at home together, “which was really nice.” He also revealed how busy his wife had been to free some reporters from Myanmar. Both he and his wife were very happy because the journalists were set free from prison the previous night. He also discussed on the show what his two little kids Alexander and Ella did on his birthday.

 

In other news, George and his wife Amal has donated over $one million towards the COVID-19 relief initiatives. The Clooneys have contributed to six distinct charities to help people who have got badly hit by the deadly pandemic.
