Royal Baby: Kate Middleton, Prince William Fourth Baby Plans Amid Hopeful Vaccine Rollout
Kate Middleton and Prince William are, reportedly, planning for a fourth baby now that there's hope that the public health crisis will soon be over and everyone's lives could go back to normal.
According to an insider, Kate and William feel ready to get pregnant again after pausing on the idea in 2020 due to the pandemic. The current vaccine rollout in the United Kingdom has been "the light at the end of the tunnel" for the couple's baby plans.
The source added that Kate has been wanting another baby since her younger sister, Pippa, announced her second pregnancy in December. The Duchess of Cambridge was hoping to have another daughter who would bond with 5-year-old Princess Charlotte,. It's been said that Kate wants her daughter to experience the same relationship she had with Pippa.
The Duchess of Cambridge, however, had to take some time convincing William, who feels overwhelmed by the idea of a fourth baby. The royal pair also have two sons, Prince George, 7, and Prince Louis, 2.
Queen Elizabeth apparently feels the same way even if she is "overjoyed" with the thought of another great-grandchild.Her Majesty thinks that Kate and William could be too overwhelmed with more kids.
Despite his initial hesitation, the Duke of Cambridge is said to be on the same page as his wife because he loves the kind of security he shares with Kate in their marriage. To get started on her baby plans with William, the source indicated that Kate has been eating more "nutrient-rich" food since she is aware that her body's age could make pregnancy harder.
But this isn't the first time Kate has been rumored to try for another baby. In the spring of 2020, at the height of the first wave of the lockdowns, New Idea reported that Kate was in the family way. Yet months since that story came out, Kate and William are once again rumored to be trying for another child.
It comes as Kate and William are set to mark their 10th wedding anniversary this April. Royal commentators Rachel Bowie and Roberta Fiorito of the podcast Royally Obsessed believe that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will mark this milestone with a big celebration, COVID guidelines notwithstanding.
According to the commentators, this celebration will be well-deserved because, while Kate and William have been married for 10 years, the Cambridges have been together for two decades. Sources believe that Queen Elizabeth will also give the Cambridges, especially Kate, for their anniversary. (Business Times)
