Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will never be an asset to the nation no matter how hard they try.

While speaking with Closer, royal author Katie Nicholl said that there has been a feeling among the public that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will never be like Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Following their decision to quit the royal family, Prince Harry and Markle moved to Canada to enjoy the privacy that they have always wanted. And just before the border between the United States and Canada closed, the royal couple relocated to Los Angeles.

Nicholl said that Prince Harry faced criticism for deserting the royal family and his country at this terrible time. As such, he continues to receive backlash for every single thing that he’s doing.

“I do think it’ll be very hard for Harry at the moment, as he’s not here to serve his country. I think he would be helping in the heart of it if he were here. I think he’ll be feeling very far from home at the moment,” Nicholl said.

Aristocrat Lady Colin Campbell also talked about Prince Harry during her interview with the publication. She said that she feels very sorry for Markle’s husband. After all, he has given up a lot of things just to make his wife happy.

“I rooted for Meghan in the hope that she would live up to the hopes and expectations people had for her. Being Jamaican, I understand the tremendous importance Meghan’s marriage represented to people of color all over the world. By abandoning her royal role, she’s also abandoned an ideal platform to do so much humanitarian and philanthropic good, which is what royal families are about,” she said.

Campbell also extended her wishes of luck to the couple after saying that Prince Harry and Markle opted to go down the commercial route to make as much money as they can.

Even though Campbell has no other choice but to respect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s choices, she still thinks that they squandered a golden opportunity to truly do the good that they have always wanted to do.

The royal expert thinks that the whole thing is quite depressing because Markle didn’t seem to have an understanding of how important she was to other people. Unfortunately, Campbell doesn’t think that Markle can merge her royal life and her celebrity life so she chose the latter.
