Gwen Stefani Reflects On Her Personal Crisis Before Blake Shelton
Gwen Stefani couldn't stop expressing her love for Blake Shelton! The 51-year-old singer and songwriter couldn't stop gushing over her fiance and opened up about the crisis she was going through before Shelton. The singer appeared on Today virtually and revealed details about their relationship.
The couple will be soon walking together down the aisle and say, "I do," but it wouldn't have happened if Stefani followed Carson Daly's advice. Yes, the 47-year-old television host reminded the singer about the time he advised her not to date Shelton.
The host recalled how he made Stefani and Shelton sit together in the kitchen in her house in Los Angeles and said that this is not going anywhere. He further admitted to saying that Stefani was way better than Shelton, intelligent, smart, and also one of the closest friends.
Stefani laughed out loud along with other co-anchors of the show, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb. The singer begins to explain all the love and happiness Shelton brought in her life at that time. The couple started to date in 2016, and they first met on the sets of Voice.
They both divorced their respective partners, Miranda Lambert and Gavin Rossdale. The singer explained how her heart beats fast and noted that there is nothing that she doesn't love about her 44-year-old musician.
She further said that he is one of the most down to earth and generous human she has ever come across. However, she admitted that these compliments seem to be generic, but it is absolutely true. The singer said that Shelton is talented, unique, and gifted. Moreover, she considers the musician her best friend.
Stefani expressed her happiness and excitement as she has someone like Shelton in her life that provides her with a chance to be happy. She recalled the time when there was devastation in her personal life and noted that they both considered if they want to marry again.
The singer said that there were too many family members involved that the decision is going to impact. The Live in the Tragic Kingdom star said that they both have gone through a lot to ensure that no one in their family is negatively impacted.
"I think in a romantic way when you fall in love like so hard and so unexpectedly and so late in your life, you're like, 'I want to marry you, now!'" she added. She confessed getting married was her first romantic reflection on the relationship.
