Fans of the couple were surprised when Kristian Cavallari and Jay Cutler announced that they were planning to get a divorce. After all, they had just spent what seemed like an idyllic three weeks in the Bahamas prior to their announcement. 

Page Six is reporting that the alleged reason why the reality TV star and fashion designer is divorcing her husband of almost seven years. There were some speculations that the former quarterback probably cheated on his wife after she accused him of 'marital misconduct' in the official papers. But that is apparently not the case. 

According to the site, it seems that the 'Very Cavallari' star is tired of her unmotivated and lazy husband. Kristin seems like a very driven person. She first shot to fame when she was part of the love triangle with Stephen Coletti and Lauren Conrad in 'Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County' in 2004. From there she has had some small roles in different TV series and even found her way to the 13th season of 'Dancing with the Stars'. In 2018, she got her own reality TV show, 'Very Cavallari', which followed her journey as she aimed to open the flagship store for her brand, Uncommon James. 

Cutler, meanwhile, retired from being the quarterback of the Chicago Bears in 2016 but returned in 2017 to be with the Miami Dolphins. After retiring he was set to have a career as a broadcaster, but that did not really pan out. It seems that Kristin is very frustrated that her husband did not want to do anything for a living after quitting football. 

And, despite many fans being surprised at the divorce announcement, Refinery 29 is saying that there had already been hints of a pending divorce months ago. In February, the couple had a Q&A for Uncommon James. The two were asked by a newly-engaged female about any advice they can give for her coming marriage. Instead of advice, Cavallari was quick to give a warning and said: "Don't do it". Now while this may just be a way for her to add humor to the question and answer event, it could also be hinting that not everything is great with her marriage. 

When news of their divorce came, just a few days later, it was reported that Kristin was demanding that she be allowed to buy a new home with the money they have. While the divorce seemed it was not going to be smooth sailing, it seems that Cutler has allowed for the funds to be released and the couple has also agreed on how they will divide the time spend with their children.
