Prince William's Biggest 'I Told You So' Moment With Prince Harry
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision to step down from their royal duties last January 2020 was a big shock to the world, but it was the consequences that followed it that made the event more scandalous.
Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship has been rumored to be on the sour side of things, and the reason behind this is not deeply known.
Throughout the months that followed Harry and Meghan’s departure, palace insiders have revealed that William warning Harry regarding Meghan was a big cause for their rift.
Future King of England, Prince William apparently sat his brother down and spoke to him about moving ‘too fast’ with the Suits actress.
He then further explained that his warning comes from a good place and that Meghan’s quick transition into the family may cause her to eventually quit.
William further on told Harry of the consequences of becoming a royal, noting that it is a huge undertaking and the pressure and security is unrelenting.
The younger royal, Prince Harry, apparently did not take to this conversation lightly, alleging William’s ill intention towards his relationship with the actress.
Not even a year after the marriage between Harry and Meghan, the royal duo announced their plans to exit the royal firm, which was a surprise even to the closest royal members.
This event happened to be Prince William’s biggest ‘I told you so’ moment, but at this point, Harry and his relationship was a mere speck compared to the big bang connection they had before Meghan’s entry.
Royal experts believe that the 2nd-in-line to the throne’s advice to his younger brother was part of a bigger plan. The future job of Prince William entails him to protect the crown before all others, and that includes assessing newcomers in the Royal Firm.
Largely the blame for the demise of the couple’s spark as working royals was the unaccepting old-fashion views the Monarchy still holds.
Meghan Markle’s entry into the roster of senior royal members was a very pleasing thought to the Royal PR department as her ‘woke’ and worldly views were a fresh revamp for the institution's dusty image.
But the Duchess of Sussex’s strong opinions was not taken too kindly by Palace advisors, and support from the royal members fell.
Now Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have left the firm in a bid for a quieter and more private life.
